The overlap between IDOL and PID has been with us since 2021.

24. 1. 2025

For the fourth year in a row, passengers can take advantage of the inter-regional transfer system, which allows for the combination of IDOL and PID fares on routes between the Liberec Region, the Central Bohemian Region, and Prague.

This collaboration among the regions has resulted in a growing network of regional routes offering connections that not only make travel easier for residents living on the borders of these regions but also ensure reliable connections to Prague throughout the week, even during late-night and early-morning hours. The scope and quality of the connections offered are attracting new passengers, and so last year, capacity was expanded on some routes through the introduction of new high-capacity buses.

Regional fares are integrated and subject to certain rules that are worth noting. In the overlap between the IDOL and PID systems, the following combinations can be found:

  • at least one fare applies along the entire route,
  • both fares apply along the entire route,
  • neither fare covers the entire route, and for such a trip, a split fare is applied that combines both fares.

One of the advantages is the aforementioned ability to transfer to other integrated transit connections, but there’s much more to it.

You can find an overview of the IDOL and PID overlap rules, special offers, and tips on how to get the best fare in the fare information section on our website.
