People aged 65 and older

You travel for half price

Starting on your 65th birthday, you pay no more than 50% of the regular fare.
You can prove your eligibility with an ID card or other form of identification showing your date of birth.

Do you only ride occasionally?

Show your ID to the driver or conductor. The discount will be applied immediately.

Do you ride regularly?

Get an IDOL pass linked to your personal ID.
You won’t need to show any additional proof when boarding—the system will recognize your age from your profile.
Keep your ID with you in case of an inspection.

Do you travel all year round?

Do you only ride within the city?

Cities with public transit zones may have their own fares and rules. Check with the transit provider in your city.

People aged 70 and older

Where you can ride for free and how to do it

Starting on your 70th birthday, you can ride for free in public transit zones. All you need is a personal ID and an annual pass assigned to it with a zero price and the “70+” profile.

The pass is valid in the following public transit zones:

• Liberec
• Česká Lípa
• DSOJ Jablonec zones

Outside public transit zones, the same rules apply as for the 65+ category: a 50% discount.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Set up your personal identifier (Opuscard+ or the Idolka app).
2. At a service center, we’ll set up your “70+” profile.
3. We’ll activate your free annual pass for public transit zones.
4. You can ride for free in public transit zones. Outside public transit zones, you’ll receive a 50% discount.

Discounted 70+ Pass for the Entire IDOL System

In addition to public transit, you can also use a special discounted 366-day 70+ Pass for the entire IDOL system.

It’s ideal if you travel frequently throughout the region or between municipalities.

Disability pensioners (3rd-degree disability)

Travel for Half Price

Holders of a Level 3 disability pension are entitled to a 50% discount.

What you need when purchasing

• A decision or confirmation from the Czech Social Security Administration (ČSSZ) regarding third-degree disability
• ID card or other photo ID

How long is the discount valid?

Eligibility is granted for each calendar year. It continues for the following year upon presentation of a current confirmation (ideally issued in December).

Holders of ZTP and ZTP/P cards

You travel for a quarter of the price

ZTP or ZTP/P cardholders pay a maximum of 25% of the regular fare.

Bonuses for ZTP/P

The following may travel with you for free:

• one companion or guide dog
• one wheelchair
• a stroller, if the child is a ZTP/P cardholder

Who Can Be a Companion

• The companion cannot be another ZTP/P cardholder
• Exception: a guide for a blind person
• A child under 10 years of age cannot serve as an attendant

For time-based coupons, eligibility is verified automatically during check-in.
Nevertheless, please have the document on hand that was used to set up your profile.
