IDOL Online Information at Bus Stops

Have you noticed what we’ve been installing at bus stops in the Liberec Region over the past few weeks?

We want to make the data used by our central dispatch center to track vehicles in our system more accessible to passengers who prefer to get information online, and to offer not only easier access to information about bus routes but also other practical tools to make traveling easier.

So what will you see after scanning the QR code?

• Our website will open on your phone, specifically the subpage for the particular stop where you are located. The website’s layout is optimized for mobile viewing.
• First and foremost is the departure schedule from that stop—that is, all connections in all directions for the next approximately 3 hours, including the boarding location number (displayed on the sign). If a service is delayed, information about the estimated delay will be displayed.
• If available, we also display information about extraordinary service changes affecting that stop, such as road closures.
• If Tvůjbus IDOL is operating in the area—that is, on-demand transportation without a fixed schedule—you’ll be notified, with the option to open a page with additional information.
• Simply enter your destination stop in the automatically pre-filled fare calculator field to get fare information.
• We’re gradually adding suggestions for day trips within public transit reach, and we can even pinpoint these based on your stop’s location. After getting off the bus, you can check to see if we offer any day trip suggestions in your area.
• We’re working on additional feature enhancements.

This new feature is not an app, but simply a redirect to a section of our website that has been specifically tailored for this purpose.
Installation is currently underway at bus stops in the Liberec Region, but we plan to expand to train stations and stops, as well as transfer hubs. We can transmit information anywhere IDOL is operational. In the future, we’ll strive to make QR codes available outside the Liberec Region as well.
