Road closures in Chrastava and Liberec will affect Route 440 to/from Nový Bor

Description of the Change

Dear passengers, road closures in Chrastava at the Lidl construction site and in Liberec on the highway bridges (above the “Snowman”) and below them at the “Sněhulák” roundabout will affect the following IDOL route from June 15 through the fall: 440 Liberec – Nový Bor.

CHRASTAVA RESTRICTIONS

Starting Monday, June 15, the exit (Exit 12) from the expressway to Chrastava from Liberec and the on-ramp to the expressway from Chrastava toward Děčín (due to construction of a roundabout near Lidl). Buses on Route 440 from Liberec to Nový Bor will therefore exit at Exit 14 before Chrastava and, after serving the Chrastava bus station,bus station, they will re-enter the expressway at the exit/on-ramp (Exit 14) near the asphalt plant. Due to the extended route, these buses will depart 3–5 minutes earlier on the Liberec–Chrastava section. Selected services bound for Nový Bor will depart from Liberec and Chrastava up to 5 minutes earlier.

LIBEREC RESTRICTIONS

On the bridges over the “snowman,” traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction—buses may be delayed due to heavy traffic.

During the night on Friday, June 19 (6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.) and during the night on Saturday (6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.), the underpass beneath the highway at the Sněhulák roundabout will be closed — for this reason, buses on Route 440 TO LIBEREC will not serve the Liberec, Růžodol I stop; instead, they will serve the Liberec, Růžodol I, Úvozní and Liberec, Růžodol I, Zelná stops. This closure does not affect services FROM LIBEREC.
