Road Closure on Věnceslav Metelka Street in Vysoké nad Jizerou and on the Bridge in Jablonec nad Jizerou
Description of the Change
Dear passengers,
From April 7, 2026, Věnceslava Metelky Street in Vysoké nad Jizerou and the bridge over the Jizera River in Jablonec nad Jizerou will be closed. As a result, there will be extensive changes to bus service.
The affected bus routes are 720, 747, 951, 952, 953, and 954. In addition , routes 942, 944, and 945 will be indirectly affected (with schedule changes) .
A temporary stop , “Jablonec n.J.,” will be set up in Jablonec nad Jizerou ,at the bridge near the intersection of the roads from Tříče and Sklenařice ( https://mapy.com/s/helukatama ), from where pedestrians will be able to cross via a temporary footbridge to the center of Jablonec nad Jizerou (a 5-minute walk to the town square).
At the Sklenařice, Host.Mexiko, temporary stops 3 and 4 will be set up (beyond the intersection toward Jablonec nad Jizerou) for Line 747 (services operating along the entire route to/from Vysoké nad Jizerou, nám., 951 (for services running all the way to/from Jablonec nad Jizerou, Main Square, or Rokytnice nad Jizerou), 952, and 953 ( see map locations: https://mapy.com/s/kupozaleve ). Service on Line 951 originating from this stop, and service on Line 747 terminating at or starting from the Vysoké n.J.,odb.Stanový stop, will use the existing platform.
Route 720 —on the section between Jablonec n.J., nám. and Vysoké n.J., nám.—will follow a detour route via Poniklá. It will not serve the Sklenařice, host.Mexiko; additionally, it will serve the stops Poniklá, pošta and Roprachtice, u Farských. Due to the longer detour route, service on the Horní Rokytnice–Vysoké n/J section will operate on an adjusted schedule.
Line 747 – Most services serving Vysoké nad Jizerou terminate at or depart from the Vysoké n.J., odb. Stanový stop (near the Šachty ski resort, approx. 1 km from the town center). Selected services run from the “Sklenařice, host.Mexiko” stop (temporary stop) via Sklenařice and Tříč to Vysoké nad Jizerou. On the detour route, all stops will be served, including the temporary stop Jablonec n.J., most. For services running the entire route, the longer detour route will result in adjusted departure and arrival times on the Vysoké nad Jizerou – Sklenařice, Host. Mexiko section.
Line 951 – Most services that originally terminated in Jablonec nad Jizerou are now routed from Vysoké n.J. via Tříč to the temporary stop “Jablonec n.J.,the bridge, from where they continue via Sklenařice to the terminal stop at Sklenařice, host.Mexiko; service operates in the same manner in the opposite direction. All stops are served on the detour route. Selected services run from Horní Rokytnice along a detour route via Paseky nad Jizerou or Poniklá to Vysoké nad Jizerou. Additionally, selected stops are served on the detour routes. Selected services run from/to the Jablonec nad Jizerou, nám. stop via a detour route through Paseky nad Jizerou. On the Vysoké n.J. – Horní Rokytnice section, there are changes to the schedules due to the longer detour route.
Line 952 – All services on the Vysoké n.J. – Horní Rokytnice section are rerouted via Poniklá to the Jablonec n.J., nám. stop, or via Paseky nad Jizerou to Rokynice n.J. On the detour routes, the buses will serve selected stops. Due to the longer detour routes, there are changes to the schedules on the Vysoké n.J. – Horní Rokytnice section.
Line 953 – All services on the Sklenařice, Host. Mexiko – Vysoké n.J. section are being rerouted via Sklenařice and Tříč. On the detour route, all stops will be served, including the temporary stop at Jablonec n.J., most. For most services, there will be minor adjustments to departure and arrival times due to the longer detour route.
Line 954 – All services on the Vysoké n.J. – Jablonec n.J., nám. section are rerouted via Poniklá. The following stops will be skipped: Vysoké n.J., odb. Stanový, Sklenařice, host.Mexiko, Sklenařice, u školy, Sklenařice, Soch.vršek, Jablonec n.J., and Počátky. Additionally, they will serve the stops Vysoké n.J., nemocnice, Roprachtice, u Farských, Poniklá, and pošta. Due to the longer detour route, the departure times for services on the Vysoké n.J. – Horní Rokytnice section will be adjusted.
Lines 942, 944, and 945 – Due to schedule shifts on the affected lines, necessary adjustments will also be made to these lines.
