Overlap Between IDOL and DÚK

The overlapping area of IDOL and DÚK, along with the recognition area, forms a fare transition zone between the Liberec Region and the Ústí Region.
The current state of bus ticketing systems does not yet provide the technical capabilities for a fully functional solution to the overlap. This is currently only possible for trains. Therefore, a transitional arrangement combined with the recognition of travel documents applies to trips between the two regions.
Rail lines
L2 and R14: Děčín–Česká Lípa section
L4 and R22: Rumburk–Česká Lípa section
U11: Litoměřice–Česká Lípa section
- Full interregional coverageis in effect on the specified sections of these lines . Both IDOL and DÚK fares are fully valid here. You can use all types of tickets and also purchase them directly on the train.
- Restrictions set forth in the DÚK Fare Schedule and Terms and Conditions may apply to the purchase of DÚK tickets for trips within the Liberec Region.
L7 and T9: via Zittau
- These lines are not covered by the overlap. For travel between regions via Germany, you must use the Trilex Fare or the EURO-NISA-Ticket+ (ENT+). This ticket is also valid on the lines mentioned above and in the Šluknov Hook.
Bus Routes
- Bus fare collection systems are not compatible with the other fare system. Although the integrated IDOL and DÚK routes pass through the overlap area where both systems’ fare zones exist, IDOL routes cannot sell DÚK fares, and DÚK routes cannot sell IDOL fares. The same applies to the validation of already valid tickets.
- Therefore, the rule of visual inspection applies. Paper tickets and tickets in the mobile app look similar. Their validity is defined by:
- geographical fare zones (stop names are not used on IDOL and DÚK tickets),
- time validity (from / to). There is a slight difference here between IDOL and DÚK: DÚK paper tickets are also available in a 30-day version (IDOL tickets are valid for a maximum of 24 hours).
- DÚK paper tickets and those in the DÚKapka mobile app are only visually inspected on IDOL lines 400, 440, 460, 461, 462, and 469; they cannot be scanned. For this reason, multi-day tickets stored on a DÚK card are not accepted. Users must have them in the mobile app (or as 30-day paper tickets) so that they can be visually inspected.
- On the DÚK 682 line, the IDOL fare is accepted on the section between Dubá, Bus Terminal – Snědovice, Sukorady. Here, too, IDOL tickets are accepted only upon visual inspection. Holders of a multi-day IDOL ticket may present their Opuscard along with proof of payment for a valid ticket (unless they have the ticket in the Idolka app, which can also be used as proof).
On overlapping IDOL routes, it is currently possible to purchase IDOL tickets even for sections located solely within the Ústí nad Labem Region (due to the inability to sell the DÚK fare on certain parts of the route), and at the same time, valid DÚK tickets are accepted on IDOL routes even for trips within the Ústí nad Labem Region only (e.g., Varnsdorf – Dolní Podluží or Česká Kamenice – Děčín).
Complete information on the scope of the overlap and the acceptance of tickets is provided in Appendix No. 16 of the IDOL SPP
Detour route for Line 400 via Chřibská from June 1, 2026, to October 16, 2026. Validation of DÚK tickets with visual inspection on the Rumburk–Kamenický Šenov section.
