Up-to-date information on the service interruption between Chrastava and Hrádek nad Nisou

The closure of the railway line between Chrastava and Hrádek nad Nisou will be extended by ten days—until December 23, 2025—following an agreement between the Railway Administration, the Liberec Region, and the rail operators. The good news is that trains will symbolically begin running on the newly renovated line on Christmas Eve. The first train to travel the entire route according to the new schedule will depart from Seifhennersdorf Station on Wednesday, December 24, at 4:18 a.m. Trains on the route from Varnsdorf to Liberec will take 50 minutes, which is ten minutes faster than before. The trip from Liberec to Zittau now takes 27 minutes, which is about 5 to 10 minutes faster. You can find the press release at:
