Bus Route 79 to Ještěd: Starting May 4, we’ll be running daily
Starting Monday , May 4, 2026, we are expanding service on bus line 79 (Horní Hanychov – Ještědka) to daily operation. Spring is in full swing, and thanks to daily service, you can head to the ridges even on weekdays, when the hiking trails are less crowded.
We currently run at one-hour intervals, ensuring convenient connections to tram service from downtown Liberec. For the summer months (July and August), we’re planning to further increase service to 30-minute intervals.
Departure times (May–June)

From Horní Hanychov (toward Ještědka): 9:35, 10:35, 11:35, 12:35, 1:35 p.m., 2:35 p.m., 3:35 p.m., 4:35 p.m., 5:35 p.m.

From Ještědka (toward Horní Hanychov): 9:50, 10:50, 11:50, 12:50, 13:50, 14:50, 15:50, 16:50, 17:50
Useful information for passengers:

Smart Fare: With the Idolka app or by contactless payment on the bus, you’ll pay just 67 Kč (84 Kč in cash). The ticket is transferable and valid for 180 minutes, so it may even cover your return trip if you take a short walk.

Connects to public transit: In Horní Hanychov, the schedule is coordinated with the arrivals of tram line No. 3 from downtown Liberec.

Accessibility: All buses are low-floor vehicles, making it easy to board with a stroller.

Pleasenote: Bicycles are not permitted on this line.
