The L24 Mácháč weekend route will be back in service starting Sunday

As has become a tradition during the summer holidays, take the Mácháč to Mácháč.
The L24 MÁCHÁČ line launches on June 28, 2025. Every weekend through August 31, 2025, a direct train will take you from Liberec to Doksy—comfortably, hassle-free, and with great views. Perfect for day trips, swimming, and summer relaxation.
An interesting fact is that this direct connection is made possible by the approximately one-kilometer-long “Žízníkovská spojka” (Žízníkov Junction), which connects the lines from Liberec and Mladá Boleslav before Česká Lípa; until the introduction of the L24 line, it served (and continues to do so during the off-season) exclusively for freight trains.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed for nice weather for swimming, and don’t forget to pack your phone with the Idolka app or your Opuscard along with your beach towel.
