The Christmas Comet is heading to Dresden, but watch out for the service suspension!

Enjoy the Christmas markets, highlighted by Germany’s oldest market, the Striezelmarkt, featuring traditional stollen, gingerbread, and a rich program of events.
The Liberec Region, IDOL, and the trilex transit company invite you to a traditional special train ride to Dresden for the world-famous Striezelmarkt.
Due to ongoing track closures, there are important changes to the schedule this year!
The “Christmas Comet” departs every Saturday during Advent
on the following dates: November 29, December 6, and December 13, 2025
Important Notice:
On the Liberec–Zittau section, service is being provided by replacement bus service (NAD) due to track closures.

Departure from Liberec (NAD) at 8:40 a.m., arrival in Dresden at approximately 11:04 a.m.

The return service, the Christmas Comet, departs from Dresden Hbf (Dresden Central Station) at 4:24 p.m.

The return trip will also include a transfer in Zittau via replacement bus service (NAD).
TIP: Take advantage of the Liberec-Dresden Special ticket offer valid through December 13, 2025 (document with fare and transportation conditions)
1-Day Return Ticket
The price is calculated based on the number of paying passengers (ages 15 and older):
- 1 person: 350 CZK
- 2 people: 580 CZK
- 3 passengers: 810 CZK
- 4 people: 1,050 CZK
- 5 people: 1,280 CZK
Children travel for free.
Children under 6: Always travel for free (no limit on the number).
Children ages 6–15: Up to 3 children may travel for free in addition to the group.
