Take public transportation to the Krkonoše mountain resorts in the Jilemnice area!
9. 1. 2025
Starting in December 2024, there will be new connection options on Route 947 from Jilemnice to Vítkovice and Horní Mísečky, and on Routes 948 and 949 from Jilemnice and Vrchlabí to Benecko, including connections in Jilemnice, Vrchlabí, and Martinice.
Until March 16, Route 947 offers service every two hours on weekdays from Martinice, where there is a connection to trains from Trutnov and Chlumec nad Cidlinou (Route V42) and Jilemnice, where there are connections to bus lines 405 to/from Prague, Mladá Boleslav, and Jičín; 960 to/from Liberec, Jablonec nad Nisou, and Semily; and 963 to/from Vrchlabí. On weekends, there are 3 pairs of connections, supplemented by 3 pairs of connections on line 730 Prague – Turnov – Semily – Jilemnice – Horní Mísečky.
Selected services stop at the “Vítkovice, kostel” stop, from which it is literally just a short walk to the lower station of the ALDROV Ski Resort. Please note that this stop is served under the Radiobus system.
At the terminal in Horní Mísečky, you can access several cross-country ski trails and enjoy the facilities of the Horní Mísečky Ski Resort, including the chairlift to Medvědín. Given the elevation of over 1,000 meters, you can generally count on excellent snow conditions throughout the winter.
There has been a significant expansion of public transportation services on the routes through Benecko, which is a major tourist center in the Jilemnice region. It offers opportunities for both downhill skiers and cross-country skiers.
The basic public transportation service is provided by Route 949, which takes passengers directly to Jilemnice and Vrchlabí. Service is generally provided at 120-minute intervals, both on weekdays and weekends. In both Jilemnice and Vrchlabí, there are connections to regional and long-distance routes.
On weekdays, during peak hours, Line 948—which operates as a loop route to and from Jilemnice—is added to the schedule, bringing the total interval to approximately 60 minutes.
Take advantage of public transportation to enjoy winter fun without worrying about where to park your car.
You can find the schedules on this website under the “Schedules” main menu item, or use the route finder in the Idolka app.
