Museum Night 2026

One night, dozens of venues, and endless experiences
Museum Night on Friday, May 22, 2026, will connect Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou. Galleries, museums, and other cultural venues will open their doors in an unconventional evening atmosphere and offer a special program. You can look forward to guided tours, exhibitions, concerts, creative workshops, and unique experiences—from underground storage facilities to historic vehicles to nighttime views from towers.

Transportation between the individual institutions is also part of the program. Visitors can take advantage of special rides on historic buses and trams along the Liberec–Vratislavice nad Nisou–Jablonec nad Nisou route, or travel by historic train, which will operate on the Kořenov – Tanvald – Železný Brod – Turnov – Liberec, with return trips passing through Jablonec nad Nisou.

Transport by Historic Train
Special train services are provided on two different routes. The afternoon service runs from Kořenov to Liberec via a detour through Železný Brod and Turnov, while the evening service takes a direct route through Smržovka and Jablonec nad Nisou. In the opposite direction, from Liberec to Kořenov, both evening services follow the same route via Jablonec nad Nisou.
During Museum Night, our Rack Railway Museum and the Kořenov Locomotive Depot (with guided tours) will be open from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM at a reduced admission price.

Railcar 854 225-0 (“Hydra”) will be running on the route following repairs and a fresh coat of paint.

7:16–7:20 p.m.: Stop in Proseč nad Nisou – joint appearance of “Hydra” and a historic tram (photo opportunity).
