We’ve already given you a glimpse into how timetables are prepared; today we’ll focus on public transit. In the Czech Republic, there are three levels of public transit procurement.
- The state commissions long-distance trains (express trains).
- Regions commission regional transportation.
- Cities commission public transit.
KORID LK manages the entire integrated transportation system in terms of fares. However, we handle the preparation of timetables specifically for regional transportation. We work closely with the other levels of government, and this is no different when it comes to public transit. For example, did you know that:

The region supplements (and finances) public transit routes operated beyond the city limits of Liberec, Jablonec nad Nisou, or Česká Lípa. Together with the cities, we thus provide transit to destinations such as Bedřichov, Rychnov u JN, and Sosnová.

Does the region commission public transit for the city of Turnov within the Turnovsko area? (The city finances and contributes to the region for the operation of city routes 301, 302, 311, 322, and, in part, 310.)

Some towns and municipalities place additional orders with the region for their own city routes. As a result, city routes also operate as part of the regional network, for example in Tanvald, Semily, and Nový Bor…Didn’t know that? That’s okay.
