By train on the IDOL fare to Zittau

The rail network of lines integrated into IDOL is expanding. Starting January 1, 2025, the Zittau railway station will be included in the Zittau fare zone, and on Die Länderbahn’s Trilex trains, the IDOL fare will be valid from Hrádek nad Nisou to Zittau.
Until now, the Zittau zone was only included in the IDOL fare system for bus line 691. Going forward, it will also be possible to use the following train lines in both directions between Liberec and Zittau:
- L7 Liberec – Zittau – Varnsdorf
- RE2 Liberec – Zittau – Dresden
- T9 Liberec – Zittau – Mikulášovice
For trips to Varnsdorf on lines L7 and T9, passengers must continue to use the trilex fare, the EURO-NISA-Ticket+ (or SJT), or the integrated ZVON fare (from German territory). Trilex trains are not integrated into the IDOL system in Varnsdorf or at intermediate stops en route to Zittau.
The Zittau zone is fully integrated into the IDOL fare system, and when traveling to the integrated network of other IDOL lines within the Czech Republic, you can use not only single transfer tickets but also IDOL time coupons.
Similar to overlaps with other regions (PID, IREDO), restrictions apply here as well: it is not possible to purchase a ticket solely for travel within the Zittau zone (Germany) or for a journey between Zittau and zones in Poland. Valid tickets covering a range beyond this area are accepted.
