Take the seasonal bus line 864 to the heart of the Bohemian Paradise

The Besedice Rocks and the Kalich and Chléviště rock labyrinths are among the most beautiful places in the Bohemian Paradise. Thanks to its location, Besedice is an ideal starting point not only for hikers but also for cyclists who want to avoid the strenuous climb out of the valley and enjoy riding along the ridges; for this, you can take advantage of the weekend (and holiday) bus service on Line 864, which is equipped with bike racks for six bicycles from late April through September.

What can you visit or see in this area?

• The Kalich and Chléviště rock labyrinth offers a loop trail among rock towers with a number of viewpoints, such as the Českých bratří viewpoint.

• The Suché Skály, nicknamed the “Czech Dolomites,” are a unique sandstone ridge and a prominent landmark of the region.

• The Kalich Prayer House, a historic site in the heart of the rocks, where non-Catholics gathered during the Counter-Reformation.

• The ruins of Zbirohy Castle, reached via the green hiking trail leading directly from Besedice around Markvartický Pond.

• Malá Skála is located nearby and offers activities along the Jizera River or a hike up to the Vranov rock castle.
