Take the L2 line for your trip—just a few minutes from Liberec

Take advantage of convenient and eco-friendly public transportation directly from the regional capital and discover the lesser-known—but all the more beautiful—corners of the region.

Route: Křižany, Solvay Quarry, and Kryštofovo Údolí

Join us on the L2 train from Liberec and get off at the Křižany station. A pleasant walking trail begins from there:

• Viewpoint above the Solvay Quarry: From the train station, follow the green hiking trail; a turnoff marked with a yellow sign will lead you to the viewpoint above the Solvay Quarry. You’ll be treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the rolling landscape, dominated by the peak of Ralsko and the Velký and Malý Bezděz mountains.
• Novina Viaduct: Continue along the green trail through Novina. The route offers a magnificent view of the majestic Novina railway viaduct, one of the region’s most significant engineering landmarks.
• Kryštofovo Údolí: From Novina, you’ll reach the picturesque village of Kryštofovo Údolí. This village, designated a historic preservation zone, is known for its well-preserved folk architecture and, more recently, its interesting Clock Tower (located on the site of the former astronomical clock).

Return: From the Kryštofovo Údolí train station, you can once again board the L2 line and return comfortably to Liberec.
