The Görlitz-Zgorzelec Nature Conservation Zoo, covering an area of five hectares, is one of the smaller zoos in Germany. Approximately 500 animals are on display in natural, lovingly designed enclosures. But there are also plenty of cultural attractions waiting to be discovered: For example, the Görlitz Zoo is home to the only Tibetan village in Europe, complete with authentic houses and typical animals. A number of themed playgrounds not only offer opportunities to run around and try out all the attractions but also promote topics such as globalization and sustainability in a playful way. The barn for little explorers, with its indoor play activities, ensures a good time even on rainy days.
