The Museum in Turnov houses collections of European significance. Its origins date back deep into history, and it originally focused on archaeology, history, and ethnography. Today, it offers much more and is an ideal destination for lovers of history and nature.

The exhibits are rich and diverse. You can look forward to:

How to Get There by Public Transportation

Turnov is a major transportation hub, so getting there is easy and convenient.

By Train and Bus to Turnov

  • By train: The town is a junction for lines 030, 041, and 070. It is easily accessible from Liberec, Hradec Králové, Jičín, Mladá Boleslav, and Prague. All trains in the region are integrated into the IDOL system.
  • By Bus: A number of regional IDOL bus lines run to Turnov. For travel from Prague and the Central Bohemian Region, you can use interregional bus lines that combine IDOL and PID fares.

Around Turnov (getting to the museum): The museum is approximately 2 km from the train station.

  • On foot: The walk takes about 30 minutes.
  • Public transit and regional buses: You can get close by getting off at the Havlíčkovo náměstí stop .
  • Fare tip: If you have a valid IDOL electronic ticket (on an Opuscard or in the Idolka app) that includes the Turnov zone, or a valid Euro-Nisa-Ticket+, transportation within the city is included in the price and you do not need to pay an additional fare.
