Germany: Take a Ride on the Bad Muskau Forest Railway

With the Euro-Nisa-Ticket+, you ride for free

The Forest Railway (Waldeisenbahn) is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Lusatia. Take a trip on the historic narrow-gauge railway that connects the town of Weißwasser with the unique landscape parks in Kromlau and Bad Muskau. We have great news for holders of our tourist ticket—the ride is free for you.

Benefit for ENT+ holders

Upon presentation of a valid Euro-Nisa-Ticket+ (one-day or three-day), all passengers listed on the ticket can ride the Forest Railway completely free of charge.

  • Where it applies: On all scheduled services according to the timetable on routes to the Kromlau and Bad Muskau parks.
  • Exception: Free transportation does not apply to the “Tonbahn” line (toward the “Am Schweren Berg” lookout) or to special charter trips.

Where the Train Runs

Regular service operates on a partially restored rail network. From the town of Weißwasser, you can travel in two directions:

  1. To Kromlau: Here you’ll find the famous park with the iconic Rakotzbrücke bridge.
  2. To Bad Muskau: Here lies the magnificent Muskau Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

How to Get There

It’s easy to get there by public transportation. The destination station for both trains and buses is Weißwasser Bahnhof. The Forest Railway station (Teichstraße) is within walking distance.
