Your contactless VISA or Mastercard payment card functions primarily within the IDOL system as a tool for cashless payment of individual tickets—usually at a lower cost than paying with cash.
After registering in the e-shop, it can also serve as an identifier for long-term “Časovka” and “Síťovka” passes. For more detailed information on using your payment card, In Karta, or Lítačka as an identifier, please visit an Opuscard contact point.

How to pay for single-ride tickets
Simply tap your card on the terminal:
- On the bus – to the driver when boarding
- On the train – to the conductor or at a ticket machine
- On a Liberec public transit tram – at a self-service ticket machine (no need to check in with the driver)
The price is lower than when paying with cash.

No. A payment card is all you need. You can use it to pay for individual tickets. Once you've registered it with a photo, it also serves as an identifier for all types of Časovka and Síťovka passes.
Yes. In the online store, select either "Časovka" or "Síťovka" and link it to your credit card as an identifier. To activate it, you must upload a photo to your account. Without registering, you can only use portable coupons.
Yes. Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a card stored on a smartwatch work just like a physical payment card.
Sign up at eshop.iidol.cz. If you already have an account in the Idolka or PID Lítačka app, use the same login credentials.
Yes. You can use a credit or debit card to purchase IDOL paper tickets at a discounted cashless rate. These tickets are valid for transfers between all transit operators in the IDOL system.
On Liberec public transit trams, you pay at a self-service ticket machine. You do not check in with the driver. Tickets are checked only by the ticket inspector.
No. You can only use a credit card to pay for paper tickets. You can purchase electronic tickets in the app through Idolka. You can link long-term passes to your credit card as an identifier in the online store.
Yes, it's completely safe. During a check, the inspector will only retrieve information about a valid coupon, and your photo will be displayed. They do not have access to your payment information.
Yes. You can use a credit card to pay for any fare, including baggage fees.
Yes, you can have multiple identifiers (for example, both an Opuscard+ and a payment card). However, each coupon can only be associated with one of them at a time. You can transfer coupons between identifiers in the online store or at a service location.
