How to Buy a Ticket on Idolka
4 steps and you’ll have a ticket on your phone:
- Download the app —free for Android or iOS
- Log in or sign up – log in to your profile or create a new one
- Select a ticket —single-ride, Time Pass, or Network Pass
- Pay with a card or another payment method of your choice – save it for future purchases
(credit card, GPay, Apple Pay, cryptocurrency) - Activate before boarding – click “Activate” 1 minute before departure
Done. Your ticket is valid, and you can board.
Tip: Buy tickets in advance and keep them on hand. Then just click “Activate” and you’re ready to go.
How ticket activation works
Important: Your ticket is not valid without activation!
You have two options:
Activate immediately upon purchase
- In the order summary , select “Activate Now”
- After payment, a 60-second countdown begins, and then you can board
- The ticket is active
Activate later (when you need it)
- When purchasing, select “Activate Later Manually”
- The ticket will be saved in the Tickets tab
- Before boarding, activate it by clicking the “Activate” button
- You can choose to activate it immediately or schedule it for a specific time
You’ll need an internet connection —Wi-Fi or mobile data—to activate the ticket.

No. The Idolka is everything you need for traveling. It serves as both an ID and a wallet.
Yes. You can buy up to 10 tickets at once. You can send them to someone who has the Idolka app, or keep them all on your phone for a group trip.
No. You only need an internet connection to purchase and activate your ticket. During a ticket inspection, simply show your active ticket on your phone.
Yes. In the app, you can choose from the full range of fares, including baggage fees.
Yes. Payment is processed through a secure payment gateway. During an inspection, the inspector will only scan the QR code; they cannot see your payment information.
Yes. In the app, you can choose from all the Time-Based and Network-Based options. You can also see the remaining validity period there.
Not exactly. But a saved payment card works similarly. Once you save the card, you can pay with a single click.
No. A "Časovka" or "Síťovka" can only be associated with one identifier at a time. However, you can transfer coupons between identifiers in the app, the online store, or at a service location.
