On-Demand Service (RadioBus)
The on-demand transportation system allows public transportation services to be flexibly adapted to current passenger demand. This leads to greater efficiency in public transportation and financial savings.
How does it work?
The schedules include routes that serve certain stops (sections) only when there is demand for such service.
Passengers can express their interest either:
1) in person when boarding the vehicle by telling the driver their desired destination stop.
2) by calling 705 525 999 (Central Dispatch) no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the service from the stop.
In some exceptional cases, this time limit is extended—specific details are listed in the timetable for the given route.
You can also book a ride up to 7 days in advance, even for multiple rides at once. However , if a passenger does not use one of the booked rides and fails to notify us in time, the booking for the other rides will also be canceled.
On-Demand Stop (RadioStop)
This system is in place on routes where regular service is provided, but where selected stops are located off the main route, and boarding and alighting at such stops is irregular.
For passengers, this means that:
1) If a passenger intends to get off at such a stop, they must inform the driver of their intention when boarding.
2) If a passenger wishes to board at such a stop, they must request the bus to make a detour by phone. Such stops are marked with a telephone symbol in the timetable.
RadioBus – On-Demand Service
The on-demand bus system is in place in areas where the Liberec Region is required to provide public transportation services but where there is no regular demand.
RADIOBUS ALONG THE ENTIRE ROUTE:
The bus is stationed at the stop with the highest number of boardings, i.e., the location where the likelihood of use is highest:
1) A passenger boarding at the stop where the bus is parked tells the driver where they need to go on that route.
2) Passengers who wish to board at a different stop must book the trip by phone.
Such a stop is marked with a telephone symbol in the timetable.
RADIOBUS ON PART OF THE ROUTE:
The bus will follow its usual route according to the schedule, but the final section of the route will be determined solely by passenger demand—in this case:
1) Passengers boarding the vehicle on the “fixed section” of the route must inform the driver where they will be getting off.
2) Passengers who wish to board during the on-demand section must request the bus by phone. Such stops are marked with a telephone symbol in the schedule.
Summary
On-demand stops are marked with a telephone symbol in the timetable.
You can book a ride by calling 705 525 999.
