What's new in the schedule starting June 12?

Starting Sunday, June 12, changes to the schedules on selected routes in the Liberec Region will take effect. What will these changes mean for passengers, and where can they find an overview of the changes?

Changes made during the validity period of a timetable are typically used to make corrections and incorporate urgent feedback from passengers. This case is no exception. “The number of changes in the Liberec Region is not large. Only in the Českolipsko area are there minor changes to the schedules of several routes at once, based on an evaluation of the first few months of operation following optimization in the area, and we are also responding to passenger feedback,” explains Jan Sviták, the statutory deputy governor in charge of the transportation department.

So what changes will take place?

• In the Českolipsko area, the schedules for 14 bus routes are changing. Generally, these involve adjustments of a few minutes to the departure times. The schedule for Route 400 to and from Prague is also being adjusted.
• In the Liberec region, the schedules for 6 bus routes are changing. After nearly 12 years, service to Sieniawka, Poland, on Route 689 will be suspended due to long-term underutilization.
• In the Jablonec region, changes are being made to 6 bus routes; these are minor adjustments aimed at stabilizing connections to other routes.
• In the Semily region, the schedule for two railway lines is changing in cooperation with the Hradec Králové Region. In the morning, service from Lomnice nad Popelkou to Stará Paka will always be provided by train. This replaces one round trip on bus line 534. Conversely, between Jičín and Turnov in the evening, the seasonal train will run only on weekends. Further changes affect five bus lines.

“With these changes, we aim primarily to facilitate commuting to and from work. As for the changes to Route 400, the goal is to stabilize service and minimize delays,” explains Otto Pospíšil, managing director of KORID LK.
