Starting Saturday, April 29, bike buses and other tourist routes will begin operating throughout the region

“We have long supported tourism in the Liberec Region, and as we do every year, we’re launching seasonal service at the end of April and beginning of May. Most of these special routes also allow for the transport of bicycles,” said Jan Sviták, the statutory deputy in charge of the Department of Transportation.

New this year is a trial run of a reservation system for bicycle transport. “We’ve taken note of passengers’ suggestions and concerns about whether their bicycles will actually fit on the bus, which is why we’re introducing a reservation system on the so-called Jizera Cycle Buses in cooperation with the carrier BusLine,” explained Otto Pospíšil, managing director of KORID LK.

The Liberec Region, and by extension KORID LK, will evaluate the experience gained during this season and then decide whether and how to expand the reservation system.
